The design of the program interface of lexiCan is based on conventional office software products and therefore also uses so-called "ribbons", i.e. menu bars at the top of the screen in which the buttons used to call up central functions are housed. These menu bars and their respective names are mentioned again and again in this documentation.
The menu bar "Home" is the most important.
The menu bar "View" is used to visually adjust the item display.
See also the article Changing Article View.
The menu bar "Edit" does not become visible until an article is in edit mode.
Also, the menu bar "Insert" does not become visible until an article is in edit mode. It provides various ways to insert content and links into an article.
Using the "Review" menu bar, manual spell checks can be carried out while an article is being edited and the underlying language can be defined for each paragraph.
The menu bar "Table" is available only if the cursor is placed in a table or parts of a table are selected.
